TG Therapeutics Announces TGR-1202 (umbralisib) Selected For Grant from the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to Support the Development of TGR-1202 as an Oral B-cell Targeted Treatment Option in Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (PMS)
NEW YORK, Sept. 29, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- TG Therapeutics, Inc. (Nasdaq:TGTX) announced today that it has entered into a Sponsored Research Agreement with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society through Fast Forward LLC, its not for profit subsidiary. Under the agreement, Fast Forward will provide funding to TG Therapeutics to further the preclinical development of TGR-1202 (umbralisib), the Company's novel PI3K-delta inhibitor, as a potential oral treatment option for progressive forms of Multiple Sclerosis (PMS). TGR-1202 was selected by Fast Forward through a competitive selection process based on its potential in
the treatment of PMS. Dr. Lawrence Steinman, MD, of Stanford University will lead the research team on this effort.
